I'm in shock still. I've known about this since it happened but I never really had the heart to tell you guys until now. He was super torn up about it not because of his sentence but because he really cared about this girl. He had been clean for so long and he just started on the wrong track when this happened. No second chance for him, no rehab. He's in jail for most of his adult life now... I can't believe that a friend I knew for so long is gone just like that. I can only imagine how awful he feels about what happened.

This brings me to my next point. Anything could happen. One of these days one of us could be gone and we haven't talked in so long. I really want to get back with you guys even if its for one last session of whatever game. I couldn't stand hearing about another one of us who is now gone without a chance for us all to catch up. Its been the better part of a year since his accident and I'm still torn up about it. I couldn't imagine hearing about losing any one of you guys in a similar situation.

Another idea: update thread? Whats going on in our lives etc. It would be nice to hear where everyone has been and where we're going.

I'm currently living in Illinois, and am working for a medical software company for a summer internship. I'm going in to my 3rd year at UIUC for computer science.

I've recently been playing Guildwars 2, Terraria, and Dont Starve Together.

Also if you ever think of staying on campus over a summer, make sure you either have a very good reason or at least one best friend, otherwise you will get really bored, lonely, and miserable. Speaking from current experience. My best friend was my girlfriend, and my good reason was my internship, but both of those are falling through for me right now.

I recently broke up with my girlfriend of six months, which sucks a lot, especially since we both still really care about each other. She basically realized she wasnt happy with her current life and wanted to start out fresh by moving to California where her sister and mom are now living.

Basically at work I finished my assigned project a month early and now im getting paid literally just to sit in an office for 8 hours doing absolutely nothing. It sounds nice, but it's literally torture. If none of my friends are online when I get home, I usually end up eating then going right to sleep since I have literally nothing better to do. Fortunately my internship ends Aug 1 and I'm going back home for 2 weeks before school starts again.

Well my life hasn't been too interesting. Earlier this year I started therapy for anxiety, depression, insomnia, and a number of other things. Had no idea my issues were so bad because I had never really talked to anyone about them, but at least I'm getting the help I need. Other than that, same old same old, I got my drivers license, have been doing a lot of gaming this summer, and just got back from summer camp. As far as the future goes, I plan on going to college for computer programming or psychology, still on the fence about my decision. I'm headed into junior year of highschool so I have some time yet to decide.

I've come to like more electronic/remix type music all of which you can find here

I'm still skiing and I've recently picked up skateboarding as well. I am currently balancing freestyle/race skiing in the winter which takes up all of my time as well as crew (rowing) in the fall and the spring. So needless to say I'll be busy, but I am still available to game on the weekends if anyone would like.

If you are still on the fence but think you can make it in to computer science, then apply for computer science and decide after you've had enough time. It's much easier to get into CS as a freshman, but transferring into CS mid-way through college can be extremely difficult to near impossible in a lot of schools, but transferring out of CS is fairly easy in most cases.
