Do I have everyone added on steam?

I'm just posting in this section so people dont miss it. I know it may be kind of late for this but...

I want to make sure that I at least have everyone here added on steam or something else I could contact them through. I don't really know what the future holds, but it doesnt seem like we'll have a minecraft server in the near future just due to lack of people's motivation/time. All I know for sure is that a good number of you guys I would consider my friends and I hope we can all do stuff together in the future.

This doesn't mean Im not checking the forums anymore, Ill still check on an almost daily basis and nothing is really changing here. I was just thinking about the good times on the server and I think it would be a waste to not be able to contact you guys some time in the future (it made me worry, which is why im making this post). And who knows, maybe some game will come out or something, or idk, just rambling at this point.

What kind of things are you guys studying/getting into?

My major is computer science right now and Im pretty sure im happy with my choice. I couldnt get all the classes I wanted this semester so im trying to think of things i can do with my time that would be considered valuable to my career in CS, basically im trying to think of a coding project or something to work on that I could add to a portfolio or resume etc.

I just recently finished building a website for my dad's business, and that was pretty fun and I can say im at least functional in html and CSS now.

Hi. My brother is starting schooling this year for computer sciences at Carlton university (Ottawa).

Also, 3 am is weak... Whenever I have the rare occasion of having the next morning off work, I'm usually until 4-5am... I hit 6am monday night. Whoops.

I still have no idea what I want to do with my future. So that could be a problem. I've still got another year of highschool, possibly one after that left, so I guess i've got enough time.

The future worries me though. I dont want to get stuck doing something I dont enjoy, but also I dont want to get stuck doing something I enjoy but barely being able to provide for myself.

During the summer I marathon tv shows from 11PM to 5-6AM just about every night

Think it's sad how inactive everyone has become.

I remember when there was at least 5 new forum posts a day, had a big community happening for a while. Its just kinda slowly died off as the servers died off I guess. I feel like in the good ol' days of the first and second clan servers it was great, but after those every server just became more and more deserted.

People are all into the mods now, I feel like servers became more advanced, with mini games and all these fancy things, but we wanted to stay as close to vanilla as possible, but no one is interested in vanilla anymore. Also there's all this stuff about donations and stuff that give you in game currencies, just these big servers are so much more advanced then we ever got. We moved to slow in upgrading because our community was always so small.

I remember his name, but I dont remember anything significant about him. I also think its funny to see people that have checked the forums that hadn't been on the server for at least a year like ripplechip. That bitch was a first generation phazium member if I remember correctly and he logged on to the forums last year apparently haha

I gotta say tho, 2010 was definitely the golden age of minecraft servers in my opinion. It was early enough on that there werent as many servers so you could meet a lot of quality players by just posting an ip on the forums and it was also far enough along that the single player features were all finally in the multiplayer. Not to mention it didn't feel like everything had already been done by someone way better than you ever would do. Like if you made a remotely sizeable building, even if it looked like crap people would be impressed and you could feel satisfied by doing just about anything. Also server maintenance was way easier since there were literally only two mod/plugins to ever use. hMod and llamacraft

llamacraft was great, i remember the rune type things where you would right click and iron ore and it would be like a secret switch. great times i was thinking about that plugin the other day and couldnt remember what it was called.

We had some good times with older minecraft

Nah that was runecraft, llamacraft was just antigrief-type stuff. Runecraft was part of hmod

Going to job fairs, job info sessions, and applying for jobs online is a very tiring and demoralizing process...

Oh and some personal advice: Info sessions/tech talks are fucking useless and a waste of time when you are at entry level. If you can get a job in your field of study at entry level, it really doesnt matter wtf you are actually doing, just getting work is whats important so that you can upgrade from "entry level". Nobody wants entry level employees. This is why internships are super important.

I'm in grade 12, and still have no idea what I want to do with my life.  Supposed to send my applications to universities by December, whoops.  Oh well if I dont know by then I'll just take a grade 13 I guess.  

Right now my semester is Calculus, Physics, Chemistry, all at university level, which is ap or something for you guys? whatever the highest is lol.  So it isnt gunna be a fun time

Yeah grade 13 is a thing, its optional to take more classes or to take classes again to get better marks to get into post secondary. Or just to come back because you have nothing better to do then play on the school football team

I'm taking a class in computer architecture right now and its basically Redstone 101. The things I could make with redstone would blow your mind and im only 4 weeks in to it lol
