Lockable chests. not so great?
Personally, i dont like the ability to lock EVERY freaking chest you make, i know people are gona disagree but seiously! whats the point of a pvp server if you cant even loot a base after you invade it? At least reduce the lock limit to 1 chest per person so people HAVE to actually protect their stuff. There are plenty of ways to prevent people from taking your stuff so why make it so EVERY chest is lockable?
i used to play on a server with absolutely no chest locking ability /protection and i got by just fine, never got looted. why? Because i hid my chests & built traps to protect them!
This server might as well be non pvp if you cant even loot a clan's base after pwning them on their own soil.
Griefing results in a ban from my understanding so all you'd have to do to prevent people from getting in your unlocked chests is hide them or make it so the only way to get in it is to grief.
sorry, but this chest lock thing ruins the purpose of a pvp server.

im kinda iffy on this topic it has its pros and cons but im kinda leaning toward no lwc becuse it just takes the fun away from looting but is there a way to get a certain number of chests only?

I wont totally get rid of the chest protection, but if there is a way to limit the amount of protected chests then I will look into it.
I suggest you try to find out if it is possible with LWC or any other chest protection, otherwise its on the lower end of my priority list next to changing the forum colors and bg...
Maybe Ill do that tmrw... U get the point tho

this one has a changeable lock limit and also allows you to set a protection so a group of people that you specify can open the chest (ex: your clan members.) also includes many other commands/ options.

Obmar Aggrees! I enjoy looting and redstone circitry... Both are fairly useless unless we can steal from chests...

I think there should be a system where you have to use a certain amount of redstone to lock a chest, and then people raiding can use that amount to unlock the chests.

Thats actually a pretty cool idea, i doubt there is any plugin that has that capability right now but I think you should suggest it on Bukkit.org
