Griefing and PVP Policies
Due to the multiple accounts of arguments, problems, and mass stress and sadness I am forced to write this seemingly necessary guide. Everyone is required to read these so if they break rules and claim "I didn't know" they are still held 100% guilty.
Policies on PVP:
>What you can do<
- Fight outside of the spawn area
- Fight in the spawn arena (ONLY BATTLE GROUNDS)
- Fight Nomads and opposing Clans
- /Home is permissible but frowned upon
>What you cannot do<
- Cannot fight in the spawn area
- Cannot fight in the spawn arena stands, lobby, team rooms
- Cannot fight Newcomers
- Cannot fight people giving tours to Newcomers
- Cannot /Sethome in another clan's base
- Cannot camp another clan's base, a Nomad's home, etc.
>Punishments and Reparations<
Those who do not abide with the PVP policies will be handled with a 3 strike system based on killing sessions:
Strike 1 - Warning -
= Return all of the items gained from illegitimately killing the other player(s)
Strike 2 - Extra Pay -
= Return all of the items gained from illegitimately killing the other player(s)
= 3 Diamonds for every person killed in a session (can be negotiated)
*FAILING TO ABIDE WITH STRIKE 1 AND 2 MAKES AN AUTOMATIC STRIKE 3
Strike 3 - PVP FREE -
= Return all of the items gained from illegitimately killing the other player(s)
= You will have your PVP capabilities removed except for in the spawn arena
Policies on Griefing:
>What you can do<
- Make a SMALL hole in a Nomad's property in order to steal their goodies
- Steal a FEW (Max of 5) placed valuable blocks from a Nomad such as an anvil
- Place ladders to scale a wall
>What you cannot do<
- Cannot cause unnecessary damage to a Nomad's property
- Cannot tunnel under a wall into a clan base or a Nomad's building
- Cannot make a small tower to climb over a wall
- Cannot place any blocks in excess in someone else's property
- Cannot place water or lava in and/or around someone's property
- Cannot break ANY blocks in order to enter a clan's property
- Cannot place signs in order to open gates
- Cannot place levers, buttons, pressure pads, etc. to open doors or screw up or destroy redstone circuitry
>Punishments and Reparations<
Those who do not abide with the griefing policies will be handled with a 3 strike system based on griefing sessions:
Strike 1 - Warning -
= Return all of the items gained from griefing and stealing during the session
= Replace every block to its original spot
Strike 2 - Extra Pay -
= Return all of the items gained from griefing and stealing during the session
= 3 Diamonds for every 2 illegal block breaks/placings in a session (can be negotiated)
*FAILING TO ABIDE WITH STRIKE 1 AND 2 MAKES AN AUTOMATIC STRIKE 3
Strike 3 - Ban -
= Does it really need an explanation?
= You are allowed to request a repeal of your ban
Unique Scenarios:
>Griefing directly followed by PVP<
- In the case of griefing followed by PVP in the same session you will receive a strike for both PVP-ing and griefing regardless of the following PVP abiding to the rules or not.
>Exit/Entrance-less property<
- In the case of something like an underground base with absolutely no entrances, i.e. teleporting or breaking a wall is the only way for a resident to enter, you ARE ALLOWED TO MAKE A SMALL HOLE/TUNNEL TO ENTER.
- An exit/entrance is defined here as a way to exit/enter without the use of teleporting out once inside or breaking blocks to get in/out. An entrance/exit can be: a toggleable gate, a locked door, a toggleable bridge, a toggleable door, or an elevator; All of which can be one way exits/entrances without the help of an insider. ex. switches/signs only on the inside.
- If there is an entrance, regardless of difficulty to reach, any acts of griefing to enter will be treated as normal offences.
>Q and A<
You only need 1 legit entrance so that people can't grief into your base. You can make as many other non-legit ones as you want with or without a legit entrance if you want.bevr wrote:I have a question...
My underwater city haven has a legit way to get in (iron door), but there is a possible second way that can only be reached by two ways: somehow flying over the water to get to it, or placing blocks to make a jump-able surface to jump over the wall, that can't be jumped w/o blocks (tested it). Is the second way allowed?
IF YOU HAVE ANY SCENARIOUS WHICH HAVE GREY AREAS THAT HAVE NOT BEEN MENTIONED PLEASE POST BELOW SO I CAN SOLVE THEM!

What if the only way in is a clanlocked door, meaning there's no way for a raider to enter except if a resident opens the door? What then?

Re: Griefing and PVP Policies
I have a question...
